The genesis for BD 15 years ago was to                 represent and support those who have struggled and excelled, despite hundreds of years of racial discrimination and repression. This is particularly applicable to immigrants and their progeny. When a regime places a target on the backs of immigrants, the outcome can only be fear, dread and death. In spite of past and present challenges our communities have survived and succeeded. As the country honors Martin Luther King’, while major cities are occupied by private paramilitary armies, we urge all to straighten our backs, support each other, and dedicate ourselves to defending democracy. Adelante!
