ByDESIGN Presents the CASA Alumni Scholarships

ByDESIGN has made a commitment to give back to underserviced communities by sponsoring a yearly scholarship program called "ByDESIGN Presents the CASA Alumni Scholarships" at the College of Environmental Design at UC Berkeley.

This is a collaborative effort with our sister organization CASA Alumni, in addition to the Chicanx/Latinx Architectural Student Association and College of Environmental Design at UC Berkeley, Latinx in Architecture SF, the American Institute of Architects San Francisco.

ByDESIGN has raised and disbursed $140,000 in scholarships, laptop computers, software, paid internships, fellowships, and cars to low-income Students of Color, Women, and LGBTQ students since 2011.

The event has also featured distinguished speakers nationally and internationally recognized thought leaders in various design fields.

Presentations from the scholarship events are provided below, including those of our distinguished speakers.
